Bad Coffee in Hackney Wick is ironically named, as it serves some of the best coffee in East London. This small, quirky roastery offers exceptional house-roasted beans with rich, complex flavors at reasonable prices, and even includes a free coffee with bean purchases. The friendly staff are passionate about their craft, creating a welcoming community atmosphere in this industrial-styled hidden gem.

This is a small coffee roaster and shop tucked away in hackney Wick. This is my kind of coffee shop, quirky and rough and ready, The Roaster was busy roasting away, the price for a bag of coffee beans was reasonable for London, and best of all I got a free coffee drink thrown in, which was excellent. Competition is fierce in this part of east London, there are two other specialty coffee roasters a short walk away, this one is the best value by far. I'm definitely coming back here next year for #londonseries2026!

Where can I start now. I love a good cup of coffee and this place is just unreal. Even bought a coffee bag to try at home and it was so good. Probably the best coffee shop I’ve found in London. The staff was super friendly and he shows a very good understanding and passion for coffee

“Bad” is anything but bad—this coffee shop is a hidden gem! The coffee is exceptional, with rich, bold flavors that surpass expectations. The baristas are skilled and friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming, perfect for relaxing or working. Their attention to detail in every cup is impressive, making it clear they take coffee seriously. It’s ironic they’re called “Bad” because everything here is incredible. A must-visit for any coffee enthusiast!
