I absolutely adored this cafe! It’s so beautiful, cosy and quiet. The music transported me to another place and the coffee was incredible. My absolute (and unexpected highlight was the pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant). By far my favourite I’ve ever had. It was flaky, buttery, the chocolate was high quality and they were fresh and warm. It was incredible! Highly recommend. If you’re a cafe addict like me, start with an egg coffee at Eggyolk which is next door, then pop into Blackbird and have a latte with a pastry

I went here 3 times when I stayed in Hanoi! The food is great and the coffee is wonderful. There is a large selection of coffee and the quality of coffee is great. Their coconut blended iced coffee is top notch. The atmosphere is incredible also. The staff are so helpful and kind. I left a personal belonging there and they immediately responded to my message and kept it safe while I was away. It’s more on the expensive side for Vietnam but worth it if you want to have some lovely avocado and toast! And a pastry. I particularly loved the cinnamon bun. The best thing about this place is the balcony overlooking the street. I was obsessed with it! Perfect view to start your day. Thank you black bird and all the staff !

Black Bird Café left a good impression overall. I had an egg coffee and it was really tasty – definitely something I would recommend! The portion was a bit small, but that’s fine for me since it felt more like a strong espresso. A friend of mine had an Americano, which tasted quite sour – probably because of the beans. If you’re not into sour coffee, I’d definitely stick to the egg coffee. The pastries looked amazing, especially the croissants – they looked next level. I went for the banana bread because I’m a big fan, but honestly, it was just okay. It had a light banana flavor, but nothing too special. Overall, a nice café with good service. The staff speaks Vietnamese and very good English, which made everything easy.
