As someone who works closely with queer young adults and encourages them to seek out safe, inclusive spaces, I was really disappointed to hear what’s been happening at this café. Refusing to allow Pride flags and belittling staff for advocating respectfully sends a clear message: this isn’t a safe space. We all deserve better from our local businesses.

This could’ve been a place where community and coffee came together. Instead, it’s become an example of how not to treat your team. Threatening your AMAZING employees for respectfully asking to keep Pride flags up? That’s not professionalism, that’s intimidation. That’s not leading by example. The example they’re digging in their heels and setting is one of judgment, bigotry, and homophobia.I regularly connect folks with affirming businesses. This one is officially off the list. Do better in 2025.
