I have mixed feelings about this place. TLDR - good food, very pricy, terrible system. First of all the food is good. Bagels in Australia generally taste just like bread, which has been a big disappointment for me. But they make the texture right so good job on that part. As a hospitality person I strongly disagree with how they handle orders and delivery, though. They don’t lead you to table, and they don’t give you a table number either. So when the food is ready it takes a long time to arrive as the staff took too long trying to figure out where the food is going. I’m genuinely shocked that they don’t have a better food delivery system in store, it seems very unprofessional. I watched the staff looking lost, taking laps and asking multiple customers if it’s their order - food is exposed to air and they talk over the food. It’s not hygienic nor efficient. All food items became cold and rubbery as staff spent so long sending them to tables. Ordered blueberry bagel with cream cheese and loaded avo on rye bagel. The blueberry bagel is missing the blueberry flavor so it basically tastes just like a plain bagel. It’s cool that they use house cream cheese but i could barely taste the cheese. It tastes like a whipped cream or ricotta to me. Again, great bagel texture, but only the texture. Loaded avo was quite good. Except it was also completely cold by the time we received it. Lost the crispness as it took too long Also ordered a small almond cold brew, it cost me 7.3 and portion was so small that it almost looks like a free sample in supermarkets. Take out the ice you get about 2 shots amount of coffee. Finished it in two sips that’s how small it is. Out of curiosity and also thought about taking some bagels home, I asked the staff how much a bagel is, I was told 9 dollars. So I guess I’ll just bake at home lol. I think for the price ppl are paying for, it’s totally worth investing on some table number holders for a better experience.
