Kaffibrennslan has a lovely atmosphere and makes excellent coffee, smooth, rich, and beautifully presented. The carrot cake was delicious and generous in portion. The chocolate croissant, however, was a bit dry, which was a small letdown. Still, it’s a great spot to relax in downtown Reykjavík, with friendly service and a cozy vibe. Would definitely go back for the coffee and cake!

The cafe is cozy and has many options in its menu. There’s many spots where you can have a seat and enjoy your coffee. Something nice and interesting is that you can find free postcards by the door. And lastly there’s happy hour as well.

The morning of our arrival from USA we had a wonderful breakfast of toast and cheese and yogurt with granola and raspberries along with tea. Tonight we had a club sandwich, a BLT sandwich, and a ham and cheese sandwich along with wine and the a slice of carrot cake to go. Very friendly staff and a quiet environment.
