Kvarts coffee

Located in the heart of Tbilisi, this charming coffee shop sits across from the Opera House on Shota Rustaveli Avenue, offering a uniquely artistic experience in a cozy, intimate space. What sets this café apart is their signature free portrait service—talented artists create personalized sketches on coffee cups while patrons enjoy their drinks, creating a memorable keepsake from your visit.
The menu features quality coffee, including specialty options like pumpkin coffee, alongside tea selections and even alcoholic beverages such as wine. Light lunch options and desserts complement the drink selection perfectly. Though the wait for portraits can sometimes stretch to 45 minutes or longer during busy periods, most visitors find the artistic experience well worth the patience.
The interior exudes a trendy yet casual atmosphere with comfortable seating, making it popular among tourists and university students alike. Modern amenities include Wi-Fi, toilet facilities, and various payment options including credit cards and mobile payments. While the space isn't ideal for extended laptop sessions due to its intimate size, it's perfect for a unique coffee break or casual meetup in central Tbilisi.

We loved the fact that they draw you on the coffee cup which was a very fun experience. The coffee itself is decent but the cafe has a very nice concept and atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and chatty. The portraits are not very accurate, but they’re a must try travel activity. The only downside is the long wait for the portrait (around 20 min+) since there is only one person doing the portrait. I recommend ordering the coffee in a separate cup to keep the portrait as a souvenir.

Must visit this cafe along the street but its under ground I guess. I ordered Caramel Latte Macchiato not the best but I love the free portrait idea! And the artist is amazing!! Overall cafe vibes were good and I ll be back for sure and bring my friends. Thanks guys!

We had a fantastic time getting our faces drawn on coffee cups—it was such a fun experience! The coffee is decent, and the café has a great atmosphere with friendly staff. The artist, a polite Architecture major, was wonderful; I wish her the best in her future endeavors. The only downside is the long wait for a portrait (20+ minutes) on busy days, as there’s only one artist. You can also have your face drawn on a wine glass, but that takes more time. If you’re in Tbilisi for a few more days, you can order this and return the next day to pick up your bottle. I recommend ordering your coffee separately to keep the other cup for the portrait as a souvenir.
