Olisipo is a cozy coffee roastery in the Ajuda parish of Lisboa that oozes charm and openly showcases its love for coffee. The staff are kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. They roast and brew delicious coffee and were more than happy to share all about the beans and their origins and flavors. They were so nice and pleasant to talk to, and also played local guides, giving my husband and I ideas for sightseeing and experiencing the different and distinct parts of Lisboa. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for that local coffee experience packed with hospitality and kindness. Thanks again, Olisipo!

This place is an absolute gem in Lisbon! I was on the hunt for a coffee roaster to visit during my trip, and this spot exceeded all my expectations. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but the charming little “hike” up the narrow streets is completely worth it. We were warmly welcomed by the most delightful, kind, and funny women. When we asked if they could share a bit about their process, they were genuinely passionate about explaining all their coffee options, the harvesting process, and their supply chain. What was particularly fascinating is that they aren’t open to the public all the time—this is because the roaster and customers share the same space, and they can’t have customers in the shop while they’re roasting. Make sure to check their open hours before visiting. A huge thank you to the wonderful women who helped us choose our coffees, offered advice on what to take home, and shared some other coffee tips and recommendations for attractions.
