WatchHouse in Seven Dials has become a bit of a staple for us over the years. Whether it’s a catch-up with friends, a quick brunch stop, or just grabbing a coffee on the go, it nails that rare balance of feeling properly local while being part of a chain, not an easy feat these days. Ethically sourced beans, a community feel, and a space that somehow manages to be busy without ever feeling rushed. The exterior is classic Seven Dials—smart sage green frontage, clean lines, crisp white awnings, and enough outdoor seating to make the most of a sunny London afternoon. Inside, it’s bright and minimal, with warm wood finishes, pale stone floors, and just enough detail to feel polished without being sterile. The kind of place where you could easily lose an afternoon with a laptop or a good book, an I say that from past experience. Presentation is clearly a priority here, and they’ve got it absolutely spot on. Every drink arrives neatly on a wooden tray, steel straw in tow, with a proper variety of milk alternatives on offer. It’s a small detail, but it elevates the whole experience. The coffee menu is extensive—iced, nitro, drip, cold brew, pour over, you name it, they’ll probably have it. One thing I love is that with every blend, you get a little tasting card with notes about the origin and flavour profile. My personal favourite? The Fernando Bocanegra Gesha from Colombia—strawberry ice cream, vanilla, blood orange. It’s ridiculous (in the best way). Queue-wise, yes, it’s rare not to find a bit of a line snaking out the door, but they manage it well. In all my visits, I don’t think I’ve waited more than 10–15 minutes tops, which given how popular it is, is impressive. If matcha is more your thing, you’re in safe hands too. Ceremonial grade matcha in pretty much any form you fancy—iced, lattes, or the full traditional service. Plus, it looks genuinely beautiful when it arrives at your table. And don’t even get me started on the pastries. Standard croissants and almond croissants sit alongside some absolute scene-stealers like the hazelnut praline pain au chocolat. But the real knockout? The matcha and coconut financier. Trust me—you’ll be thinking about it for days afterwards. WatchHouse Seven Dials gets it right across the board. It’s stylish without being pretentious, the coffee’s next level, and whether you’re popping in for a quick caffeine hit or settling in for a lazy brunch, it always delivers. Long may it reign.

I come to WatchHouse Seven Dials almost every morning for my coffee and breakfast. The coffee is always amazing (the best in London), and the space is beautiful, bright, and chill. What really makes it special, though, is the team. Yoanna is an absolute star—friendly, fast, and always smiling. And honestly, almost every staff member here remembers my order. That kind of consistency and warmth is rare, and it means a lot. Food’s great too—I’m obsessed with poached eggs on toast. This place is more than just a coffee shop for me—it’s part of my daily routine, and I absolutely love it.

I had a pourover coffee here and loved the place. I sat solo at the bar and asked a few questions about different beans and the barista did an impromptu cupping for me. So hospitable. Oh and the coffee was outstanding. I'll go back every time I visit London. Excellent coffee craftsmanship and service.
