There are signs at the store that let people line up against the wall. Those signs can’t be easily seen. When I was lining behind two people near the counter I didn’t see the sign because those customers blocked my sight. When it was my turn to order, I apologised to the staff member that I didn’t see it and thus didn’t line up against the wall (but I was still the first in line and the people behind me came after me). The staff member rudely asked me to line up again.

I'm an autistic man who struggles with niceties and basic interactions. When paying for or being handed my coffee, I generally say 'ta' as it's low in syllables and I've trained myself to get it out routinely. I don't understand why 'ta' is not enough. One of the staff refused to let go of my coffee for not saying 'thank you'. They eventually let go, but only after giving me a lecture. Shame. Coffee is great. Can't go back though.
