We have been regular customers here at OTC and have no issues until today. My girlfriend and I walked in and combined the tables as we are undergrads and wanted to do work outside. My girlfriend had also came in with an outside drink as she was given it as a gift by a friend on our way here. The lady working today (dressed in blue) told us that no outside drinks are allowed, which is understandable so we put it aside and we ordered a Coke. 15 minutes later, she comes back and tells us its peak hour so we need to separate our tables. However, as you can see in the picture, there are other tables which only has 2 people occupying the tables. On top of that there were multiple empty seats. But she did not ask them and it feels like she wanted to pick on us. I explained to her that there are other tables too, then she brought up the point we had brought in an outside drink (which we did not even touch since we entered). Then I explained again and now she changes the subject to having to order an item per person. Mind you we are regulars here and I have not once heard this rule from them, and neither have I even seen her working here. Plus usually we’d get more items anyway as time goes on as we’d get hungry from work but since she wanted to chase us off so badly, so be it. To also add on, she then changed the subject another time and said rental costs are high so she wants us to get an item each. If the rental costs are so bad, then why does OTC close at random days? Why not just open everyday? Horrible service, imagine chasing your regular customers away and it feels to me that she wanted to pick on us because we looked the youngest in the crowd. We will not be patronising again. Until you remove this lady who appears to act like the owner of the place, as the other comments have pointed out, your cafe is doomed to fall.

A convenient place to dine/chill at if you’re at the National library. Was here on a Sunday afternoon and the place offers plenty of seats and space for kids to walk/run around. Great view of bugis and intercontinental! I ordered white coffee, mocha, teriyaki chicken bowls for the adults and lasagnas for the kids. The coffee is decent and though the food portions are a tad small for the price and seems to have been pre-made and heated up prior to serving. I would recommend this as a place to chill, read a book, have coffee with the family.
