Food was actually rather disappointing, but coffee was good. Went early when it just opened on a weekend and there was plenty of space. The crowd starts to stream in after 9am. From the savoury options, I tried the Pulled Pork, Pickle, and Mustard Danish. The pulled pork was too sweet, and the danish itself did not taste fresh. The lamination had much room for improvement and the buttery taste was lacking. I also got a Cinnamon Pecan Bun, which was terribly dry and hard. The cinnamon taste was also not strong enough. Coffee was nice, would recommend getting the Bali one if you're into something not acidic and not too bitter. Overall, I probably wouldn't return as it's pretty out of the way and the quality isn't that great.

Highly recommend! A variety of flavorful beans choices, black and flat white done well. Pulled pork croissant was so yummy with the right crisp. Beef ragu was also great with a spicy kick, might be too spicy for some. Overall will be back for the solid food and most importantly, not overpriced cafe food.

This team really knows their coffee. Specialising in beans from Southeast Asia, Vernacular roasts their own beans, creating amazing flavour profiles which are robust yet smooth. Food is excellent , focusing on croissant-based brunch delights with a local twist, such as kaya and curry chicken. But also offering more traditional offerings eg. Smoked salmon, ricotta and tomato. They use high quality ingredients and take pride in what they do, making this a neighbourhood coffee shop which we’ve retuned to again and again.
